dakota-west-cu-soccer-groupWashburn, ND - Just before the beginning of the season, the childrens soccer program in Washburn, ND was lacking a coordinator. That was, until Jeff Breinholt and Matt Meier of Dakota West Credit Union decided to step up and make sure the local program did not get canceled. Through their enthusiasm for the sport they were able to add a breath of fresh air to the program. This has formed a positive response from players and has generated tremendous support from the community. They now have brand new jerseys, the fields are painted, and equipment is ready to go. Just last week, the group had team pictures, and you can see the excitement coming from the kids and coaches faces!

With the generous donations of local businesses, they were able to supply new jerseys and other necessities for the program. The program will run for five weeks with practice on Tuesdays and a game every Thursday.

Dakota West Credit Union is proud of this effort, and would like to acknowledge Jeff Breinholt and Matt Meier from the Dakota West Washburn Branch for truly holding to the commitment of Credit Unions "People Helping People" philosophy. Because of the generosity of these two men, the local kids in kindergarten through sixth grade will get to experience playing on a soccer team.
