Vermont Federal Credit Union Staff Supports Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

img_1917Burlington, VT Vermont Federal Credit Union staff raised $1,000 and volunteered at the Great Strides Walk to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation On Sunday, September 18th Vermont Federal Credit Union staff members assisted the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to register walkers, hand out information, gather totals for team fundraising and set up for the post-walk barbeque. The Vermont Federal Credit Union team also raised over $1,000 for the event through individual fundraising pages, credit union and staff donations. Tanya Norris, team captain and Call Center Manager, shared, "This is my fourth year participating in the Great Strides Walk, but my first with my coworkers." She added, "My hope is that one day CF will stand for cure found. I participate because the funds raised from Great Strides help provide people with Cystic Fibrosis the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment and ensuring access to high-quality, specialized care." Vermont Federal is a $469 million-plus financial institution, with six locations currently serving over 36,000 members. Members are part of a cooperative, meaning they share ownership in the Credit Union and elect a volunteer board of directors.
