Grafton Suburban Credit Union (GSCU) is one of the first local businesses that answered the plea for community funding for a local non-profit community school for the arts by stepping up with a $5,000 donation to lead the capital campaign efforts. GSCU is hoping other Central Massachusetts companies will follow suit and help Apple Tree Arts reach its goal. "What distinguishes Grafton among regional communities is its home grown organizations. Apple Tree Arts is a classic example of a small group of people coming together to do good things. Grafton Suburban identifies with that business model. Thats why we are so eager to be supportive," said GSCUs President and CEO Ed Lopes. "We couldnt have accomplished all of what we have so far without GSCU. Ed has been a strong advocate of our organization over the years. He brings us to networking events and introduces us to people in the community who have helped and made a positive impact on fund-raising efforts," said Apple Tree Arts Executive Director, Donna Blanchard. "We cannot do this alone, and truly need the support of the business community to foster our Capital Campaign."
