Affinity Federal CU Employees Raise More than $3,000 for Local Charities

Basking Ridge, N.J. (September 20, 2016) The Affinity Federal Credit Union Foundations "Summer Jeans" Fundraiser came to a close on September 2, raising more than $3,000 with 200 donations made by Affinity Employees.
The "Summer Jeans" fundraiser allowed Affinity employees who donated to wear jeans every Friday from Memorial Day through Labor Day, ultimately raising money for the following three charities:
- Puppies Behind Bars, an organization that trains prison inmates to raise service dogs for wounded war veterans and explosive detection canines for law enforcement. Affinitys donation will support the organizations work at Edna Mahon Correctional Facility for Women in Clinton, NJ.� Puppies raised here go on to become bomb-sniffing dogs.
- The Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, to support its Kids Caf� Culinary training program and Backpack Program, which feeds more than 600 children.
- The National Credit Union Foundations relief fund, CUAid, to provide support to credit union members and employees in Louisiana that have been affected by recent flooding.
