ORONO, ME (September 12, 2016) University Credit Union, a full-service financial institution with branches across the state, is pleased to announce and congratulate the inaugural recipients of its scholarship program.
Scholarships of $1,000 were awarded to each of the following recipients:
John Sojka of Hudson, NH studying wildlife ecology at the University of Maine
Mitchell Adams of Wilton, ME studying biology at the University of Maine Farmington
Emma Reynolds of Eddington, ME studying nursing at the University of Maine at Fort Kent
Lily Hesseltine of Old Town, ME studying environmental recreation and tourism management at the University of Maine at Machias
Danica Bourgoin of Gray, ME studying early childhood at University of Maine Presque Isle
Dylan Tudeen of Windsor, ME studying information technology at the University of Southern Maine Ricky Doane of Milford, ME studying power engineering technology at Maine Maritime Academy
The program was launched in 2016 with scholarships available to UCU members that were graduating high school seniors, beginning their studies in the fall 2016 semester at one of the University of Maine System campuses or Maine Maritime Academy.
