Hanscom FCU Shows Appreciation for Members
September 13, 2016
Hanscom Federal Credit Union, headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base in Mass.,held its annual Member Appreciation Day last week on a beautiful late summer day. The event included hot dogs on the grill, cold drinks, and a visit from Boston's own Cookie Monstah food truck.
Hundreds of members and visitors enjoyed the treats at the credit union's main office on Hanscom AFB, while 16 branch offices provided similar goodies to thank members for being part of the credit union.
"I look forward to this day all year," said Paul Marotta, chairman of the board for Hanscom FCU. "Members talk with me about their lives and how the credit union has helped them financially. It's great to see so many people, knowing we are providing them with real value."
A main attraction was the Cookie Monstah truck. As hands reached up for giant ice cream sandwiches with Boston-accented names like "The Green Monstah" and "The Peanut Buttah Cup," company owner Missy Gale told her story.
The company financed its four food trucks with Hanscom FCU and is currently working on future business plans with Phil Purcell, vice president of commercial lending. "It's been awesome working with him," she said. "We are glad to be members and work with Phil to grow our business."
Chairman Marotta added, "Our goal is to help every member achieve their dream, whether it's a business, a home, an education for their child, or a comfortable retirement. I am gratified every time I meet a member who has benefitted from membership in Hanscom FCU."
