Brenna and her mother, Kimberly Krzystof-McNamara were moved by the generosity. Etoya McBeth, GLCUs Oak Lawn Branch Manager, first made acquaintance with Kimberly weeks prior when she inquired about an auto loan for her daughter, Brenna, who travels to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for cancer treatments. When asked about this act of kindness Etoya stated, "Kimberly and Brenna are special to us. After we helped with the auto loan, Kimberly actually gave the employee who helped her a cupcake as a way to say thank-you! It was so sweet. Our hope was that a $100 gas card for the new car would ease some of the financial burden while she continues commute to and from the hospital!" All year long employees at GLCU branches are performing various random acts of kindness as a way to make a direct impact and give back to their communities.
