Great Lakes Credit Union Hands Out 200 Water Bottles in Random Act of Kindness

Bannockburn (IL) Over Labor Day weekend, employees from GLCUs Waukegan office visited the Independence Grove Forest Preserve and cheered on 5k For Labor Day participants. During the event, GLCU employees also passed out 200 water bottles!

This event supports programs offered by the Waukegan Townships Park Place Senior Center for adults 55 and better. Park Place provides services to nearly 4,000 seniors each month. Services include medical transportation, preventative health services, workshops, wellness programs, and more.
When asked about this Random Act of Kindness, Leilani Goldsmith, GLCUs Waukegan Branch Manager, commented, "I am proud to work for a company that is so involved with the local community! Its a very rewarding feeling knowing we are helping others."
All year long employees at GLCU branches are performing various random acts of kindness as a way to make a direct impact and give back to their communities.
