Sikorsky Credit Union Makes Donation to Stratford Police Activity League

charlie-and-officersStratford, CT September 6, 2016 � �With the school year starting, many afterschool and sports programs for Stratford youth are beginning as well.� One organization that sponsors many programs is Stratford P.A.L. (Police Activity League.)� Stratford P.A.L. programs include cheerleading, baseball, boxing, football and soccer, along with the a Police Explorer program for those interested in a possible career in that field. Recently, Charlie Hoddinott, Chief Operating Officer of Sikorsky Credit Union presented a donation to Lieutenant Melissa Niemiec of the Stratford Police Department for Stratford P.A.L. which will helps these programs and others under the Stratford P.A.L. umbrella. The Credit Unions donation was made during the summer at a camp that is funded by Stratford P.A.L. and took place shortly after the Credit Union opened their 6th public branch at nearby Stationhouse Square.� The Credit Union also recently merged with the Stratford Municipal Credit Union, which supported the Stratford police department.� Stratford Police Lieutenant Melissa Niemiec was very grateful for this donation; "We are very thankful of the support given by Sikorsky Credit Union.� This will have a direct impact on the positive development of our youth in town through our many community activities. " Sikorsky Credit Union Chief Operating Officer Charlie Hoddinott added, "Our commitment to Stratford has been a constant throughout our 68 years of existence.� Through this donation, and with the opening of our Stationhouse Square branch, we are increasing our commitment to the town of Stratford, both now and in the future."
