Pottstown, PA - Its an unfortunate fact that cancer touches all of our lives, but thankfully there are things we can do about it. The entire staff and Board of Directors at Diamond CU is energized to take action against cancer by supporting the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. This is the eleventh year that Diamond CU has made the Relay one of their fundraising focuses, and the credit union is pleased to announce that its a record year for fundraising. The 2016 total donation by the Diamonds Hope Relay Teams is $90 thousand adding to an eleven year total of over $736 thousand. This total donation was accomplished with multiple fundraising events held throughout the year, including two Bingo events, Glow Golf, Dance and Chance (Beef & Beer), the Annual Charity Golf Invitational, Wine Tasting Event, a 2-week long Shredding Event made possible by Access, several Bake Sales and Hot Dog Days, Coffee and Calendar Sales, Jeans Days, and the support of the Blessed Teresa of Calcutta School students who held a coin drive as part of their Relay Recess.

The total donation is divided between the Pottstown Relay For Life, and the Berks County area lineup of Relay events. The
American Cancer Society offers support to cancer patients and their families, promotes prevention and early dedication, and funds life-saving research.
