CaptureFalcon Heights, MN - In a bold and ambitious undertaking, SPIRE Credit Union recently launched its very own food truck! Intended to be the next stop along their journey of giving back, the new food truck will be visiting a host of community events within the branch communities served by SPIRE. In just 5 short weeks of operation, the food truck has been at events in Ogilvie, Falcon Heights and St. Paul. Earlier this year, SPIRE EVP, Stan Edwards, had an idea that has now turned into reality. "I envision this project taking on a new life and creating new beginnings for SPIRE and our members," says Edwards, "Initially we are going to use it as a reverse food truck, giving away SPIRE gifts and snacks at community events and collecting canned goods for local food shelves." The SPIRE food truck was recently on site at CHS Field in St. Paul, greeting fans as they arrived for Anchors Aweigh Night at the St. Paul Saints. Throughout the upcoming Minnesota State Fair, a ten day event, the truck will be on site at SPIREs administrative offices in Falcon Heights, welcoming the endless crowds of fair-goers. "You never know what SPIRE will do next," says SPIRE President/CEO, Dan Stoltz, "Our staff is having so much fun with the new food truck. They love getting out and talking with people in our communities and SPIRES core values are deeply tied to giving back to our members and the communities they live in."
