The Domestic Violence Crisis Center recognizes the need for continuing services to victims and families of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. In March, 2016, the Tollefson family offered to give the Domestic Violence Crisis Center a total of $500,000 if the center could raise the remaining $165,000 needed to pay off the construction loan completely. The donation from GEM Federal Credit Union will help them meet their goal. GEM FCU produced a 75 year Commemorative Cookbook the first in credit union history. GEM members, staff and volunteers provided recipes for the cookbook. The cookbook was made with the intent on using a portion of the proceeds to give back to our community. "We are so excited to have this partnership with GEM and these funds will be put towards the Tollefson Challenge," said Executive Director Dena Filler. If you would like to donate or help in some way call the Domestic Violence Crisis Center at 852-2258.
