The Cabrillo team selected an Olympic / Rio de Janeiro theme this year, incorporating flags from around the world, and a backdrop that looked like grandstands. In order to add a piece of Brazil, numerous Carnival and Tropical details were included. When asked about their team"s booth design, Cabrillo employee and Chili de Janeiro Team Captain, Hilary Dene said: "Picture yourself in the grandstands in Brazil, intensely watching the Rio 2016 Olympics. Medals are being placed around the necks of Olympians. As they hold their medals in the air, searching proudly for their country"s flag, they smell Rio in the air. Carnival masques&feathered Rio girls&towering tropical fruits&the cheering and excitement. That was our vision, as we designed our booth." Cabrillo Credit Union"s other Chili Challenge team, Beans Marley and the Wailers, didn"t place this year, but had a lot of fun participating.
