CaptureSAN BERNARDINO, Calif. This week, Rocky Raccoon and Arrowhead team members created fun activities and shared plenty of hugs with young patients at Loma Linda University Children"s Hospital"s Luke"s Pride Autumn Community Day event. Luke"s Pride Community Day is a "community fair" style event allowing young patients and their families to enjoy a day of visiting with movie characters, participating in crafts and games, and interacting with local organizations and community volunteers. "The Community Day event is a unique opportunity to bring local businesses and organizations together in support of our patients and their families," said Joanna DeLeon, director of the Loma?Linda University Children"s Hospital Foundation. "Not only does it put a smile on the face of a child, it also brings an important diversion in their otherwise challenging day. The successes of events like this rely on community involvement and highlights that outside groups truly do care."
