Each February,
Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union of South Carolina raises money and awareness for their local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, Palmetto Health Children's Hospital. Last year, with the help of members, staff, business partners and a CU contribution, they were able to raise $28,000!
This year, the credit union is donating $1 for each like on thier Facebook page and each Twitter follower they have. They are also encouraging members to give at their offices by purchasing Miracle Balloons, which have the CU for Kids logos on them. As an added incentive, each $5 donated earns one entry to win one of three iPad minis.
Additionally, the credit union was recently informed that they have received the "Miracle Match" from CO-OP Financial Services, up to $10,000. Through this match, Palmetto Citizens FCU will be able to double their giving power to help our local children's hospital. �So, now each social media follower will equal a $2 donation and every member and staff member's donations will also be doubled. Also, Enterprise Car Sales will donate $100 to PHCH for each of member who purchases a vehicle with them in February, in addition to giving the member a 32" flat screen TV. �Enterprise kicked off the campaign by donating $500. �The credit union will be raising funds through March 1
st, and on March 12
th will present the total donation to Palmetto Health Children's Hospital at their annual Radiothon, presented by a local radio station. During this time, listeners are encouraged to call in and pledge donations, and Palmetto Citizens FCU staff will help to man this phone bank.
