August 26, 2016
TEMPE, AZ (August 12, 2016) Landings Credit Union recently took part in packing meals for the Non-Profit Feed My Starving Children. Employees and their families met on a recent Saturday at the Mesa facility to hand-pack meals specially formulated for malnourished children. The meals that Landings Credit Union helped to pack will be going to Cambodia.
Many of the employees were really excited about the opportunity to volunteer but more importantly took away a deep feeling of satisfaction and enjoyment from the whole experience. "I wanted to let all of you who were unable to participate how much fun it was to volunteer on Saturday night at FMSC! My daughter came with me and we enjoyed it so much! I highly recommend it said Natalie Dzinglewski, a Landings employee.
Just a few days later staff at Landings Credit Union through fundraising efforts donated 150 uniforms during its" 7th Annual Back to School Clothing Drive benefitting Connecting With Kids Children"s Charity. CWK is a service center that provides everyday essential and school necessities to students in need within the Tempe Elementary School District. Both employees and members of the credit union helped raised more than $1000 dollars to purchase school uniforms. These much needed uniforms for low income families give students the boost they need so that they can attend school ready to learn. For more than 60 years Landings Credit Union has been a community partner in and around the East Valley always with an eye towards giving back to the communities in which we serve.
