Black Hills Federal Credit Union Supports Children's Miracle Network

Rapid City, S.D. Black Hills Federal Credit Union employees helped raised nearly $3,400 for the Children"s Miracle Network during the annual Great Black Hills Duck Race fundraiser in July.
As part of the fundraiser, BHFCU employees sold rubber duck entries for this year"s race along Rapid Creek in Rapid City. BHFCU and other area businesses sold approximately 17,000 rubber ducks for the race, with the first place duck/winner receiving $5,000.
"It"s amazing to watch our community come together every year to support our local hospitals," said Lona Snell, chair of BHFCU"s Community Action Team Project for the Children"s Miracle Network. "The Children"s Miracle Network helps so many families and children in our area and we"re proud to partner with other area businesses and community members to support those efforts."
BHFCU employees also donated $1,000 to a local playground being built in honor of�Seth Brien, who was killed in February while playing on Country Road, north of Rapid City.
Surviving with Grace, which provides support in the form of care packages, response teams and weekly support groups for families in Rapid City area who"ve lost a child, also received a $150 donation from BHFCU employees.
