United Federal Credit Union Sponsors Golf Tourney to Benefit Community Center

United Federal Credit Union (UFCU) was pleased to serve as the gold-level sponsor of this summer"s 2016 Knights of Columbus Memorial Golf Tournament that raised more than $1,700 for the Catholic Community Center (CCC) in Benton Harbor, Michigan. The CCC, located at 346 Catalpa, is a ministry sponsored by the Diocese of Kalamazoo. It provides emergency services to individuals and families in Benton Harbor, such as assistance with utility bills, food, medicines, and personal care items. The Center also makes available gently used items for the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen, and warm clothing in the winter. Educational classes are offered to help individuals in achieving their goals. The CCC provides GED tutoring, computer lessons, job search assistance, budgeting instruction, health and wellness monitoring, safety lessons, and technological assistance. "Our services are made possible by parishioners from both Saints John and Bernard Parish, and St. Joseph Parish who volunteer their precious time, wisdom and skills in service to our guests. We are also blessed with donations from individuals and organizations, like the Knights of Columbus and United Federal Credit Union," said Sister Maureen McGrath, OP.� "We could not provide this emergency assistance without the generosity of those who partner with us."
