(August 8, 2016) On July 28th, the Affinity Federal Credit Union (AFCU) Foundation hosted its third annual Chasing the American Dream 5K and Kids" Sprints, raising over $10,000 for local, grassroots charities across the state of New Jersey. Held at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater, N.J., the 5k has grown substantially with over 200 runners participating this year. The funds raised at this event will go directly to 12 charities supporting causes such as sheltering the homeless and supporting families in crisis. � "Our Foundation is dedicated to supporting the everyday needs of the members of our community," says Dr. Lauretta Farrell, the Foundation"s Executive Director.
