FAYETTEVILLE, NC (August 8, 2016) Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union raised $17,500 through its 22
nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament. The tournament, held at Cypress Lakes Golf Course, helped raise awareness for those in the local community dealing with chronic illnesses and breast cancer. 136 golfers entered the tournament in teams of four and enjoyed a BBQ chicken dinner following the event. The funds raised were donated to Friends of the Cancer Center at the Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation and The Victory Junction Gang Camp.
The Cancer Center of Cape Fear Valley Medical Center provides comprehensive treatment options for cancer patients. The donation by Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union is specifically earmarked for early detection screening and treatment of breast cancer.
The Victory Junction Gang Camp enriches the lives of children and adolescents with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses by providing life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun, and empowering, in a safe and medically sound environment. Victory Junction Gang Camp is located in the heart of the Piedmont Triad in Randleman, NC.
