Great Lakes Credit Union Surprises College Bound Students
July 27, 2016
Bannockburn (IL) Dianne Thevenot, GLCU"s Willow Springs Branch Manager, and her team recently joined forces with local beauty salon, Tess's Place Style Shop, to provide gift baskets to two local college-bound students. The baskets were filled with college essentials including a new printer, pillow cases, bed protectors, etc. GLCU employees also passed out Krispy Kreme doughnuts to the salon"s clients.
When asked about her team"s Random Act of Kindness Thevenot commented, "We were so excited to give these students a few basic essentials for college. Both recipients are great students! We know they will be successful in anything they do and we"re just happy we get to play a part in that. " Tess Daniel of Tess's Place Style Shop simply stated, "It"s clear that Great Lakes Credit Union actually cares."
All year long employees at GLCU branches are performing various random acts of kindness as a way to make a direct impact and give back to their communities.
