Bannockburn (IL) Great Lakes Credit Union (GLCU), Crystal Lake Branch is holding a FREE Document Shred Day, Saturday, July 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Bring your unwanted personal documents to GLCU's Crystal Lake Branch located northeast of the US Post Office (345 E. Congress Pkwy., Crystal Lake, IL 60014) for secure document destruction.
Keep your personal information secure! One of the most common methods of identity theft is dumpster diving. Thieves have no reservations about going through trash and recycle bins to search for personal information financial statements, credit card statements, utility bills and anything that displays personal/private information. One way to avoid being victim of this crime is to make sure you shred personal documents on a regular basis.
Shred Day provides an opportunity to be "green", give back to the community, and win a prize! Attendees can also enter a drawing to win a paper shredder donated by Liberty Mutual Insurance.
