Vermont Federal Credit Union Raises Over $4,500 for American Cancer Society

Relay GroupBurlington, VT �Over the last couple months, Vermont Federal Credit Union has encouraged employees to participate and fundraise for Relay For Life. Fundraisers included special events such as staff food and casual days for donations, as well as individual fundraising pages through Relay For Life. The Credit Union also contributed a $1,000 donation to the team. The total of these fundraisers allowed the Credit Union to exceed the previous year"s participation and monetary totals, with a final donation of $4,752 and nearly 30 staff participants. Tess Hulsebos-Spofford, staff member and Event Registration Chair for Relay For Life of Chittenden County, stated, "Relay For Life is as much about fundraising as it is about�education and honoring survivors and those lost to the disease. Vermont Federal supports both initiatives by being a corporate sponsor and encouraging staff participation. I feel lucky to work for a company that gets involved in the community."
