RMH 7-8-16 (5)_GroupBallston Spa, NY---- In an effort to raise awareness of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region and help raise much needed funds for the families it provides for, TCT Federal Credit Union (TCT FCU) hosted their first "Show Your Stripes" Sock Campaign throughout June, raising a total of $1,200. "The Ronald McDonald House has personally touched the lives of several staff members and we"re happy to raise awareness of their mission to support families of seriously ill children and give back to them in a tangible way through the generosity of our members and staff." said Curt Cecala, TCT Federal Credit Union"s CEO. The premise of the "Show Your Stripes" Sock Campaign is simple. TCT FCU encouraged its Ballston Spa branch staff and members to pledge $5 to wear Ronald McDonald striped socks. The campaign was a success- garnering support from staff, TCT members, organizations and individuals. Since its inception in 1982, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region has served more than 25,000 families. Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region serves as a home away from home for families of seriously ill children undergoing treatment at Albany Medical Center. Though it costs the organization more than $80 for every room it provides, no family is ever asked to pay for any of the services provided. The 25 bedroom house serves over 650 families per year and is supported by a team of 250 active volunteers.
