Missouri Valley Chapter of Credit Unions Beautifying Community

  day of caringEmployees of credit unions that belong to the Missouri Valley Chapter of Credit Unions are invited to participate in the Bismarck Beautification Project, a city-wide cleanup organized by United Way as part of its Day of Caring Event. The event will take place on Wednesday, August 10 from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Chapter members who want to volunteer may sign up for a shift at http://doodle.com/poll/a5k57hta4dx44zfp. Each shift lasts 2.5 hours, and available timeslots include: 8-10:30 a.m.; 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; noon-2:30 p.m.; 2-4:30 p.m. On the day of the event, volunteers will meet at Capital Credit Union"s Main Office prior to their shift, and Capital Credit Union will provide transportation to and from the work site. The Main Office is located at 204 W. Thayer Avenue in Bismarck, N.D. Volunteers will receive the following items:
  • United Way Day of Caring T-shirt (sizes will be collected via email)
  • Vest
  • Garbage bags
  • Trash picker
  • Snack kit from Capital Credit Union and the Chapter
United Way does not provide gloves, but volunteers are welcome to bring their own.� Day of Caring is an annual event that promotes the spirit and value of volunteerism, increases the awareness of local human service agencies and demonstrates how people work together for the good of the community to accomplish great things.
