Service Credit Union Supports Military Appreciation Day

(June 23, 2016) --- To promote the second annual Seacoast Salutes event, the #ShowYourSalute social media campaign once again encourages support of the military by saluting in front of the backdrop banners at local Service Credit Union branches and Redhook Brewery. While saluting in front of the #ShowYourSalute banner, members of the community can take photos including selfies.� Then they can post the photos to the Seacoast Salutes social media sites including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and use the hashtag #ShowYourSalute. Service Credit Union branches participating in the #ShowYourSalute campaign are Portsmouth, Pease International Tradeport, Somersworth, Hampton and Rochester branches. Branch staff members have shown their support by posting selfies to the Seacoast Salutes Facebook page. Seacoast Salutes is a military appreciation day on Sunday, July 24th from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Redhook Brewery, to recognize and honor the brave men and women defending our freedom and our great country. Lead sponsors at the General Stark level are Service Credit Union, Redhook Brewery and Chill Catering. "We look forward to inviting the community to celebrate with those who are actively serving or are veterans at this event," said Seacoast Salutes Committee Member Retired Brigadier General Carolyn J. Protzmann said. "We"ve received generous donations from the sponsors so our military can enjoy a great day with their families and neighbors." Like last year, the event is expected to be the largest appreciation event for military personnel and their families in New England. The all-day festival, on the grounds of Redhook Brewery, will serve as a fundraiser for the New Hampshire Air National Guard"s Chaplain Emergency Relief Fund. An all-day barbecue will be hosted by Chill Catering. Miss New Hampshire Caroline Carter will be singing as well as signing autographs. Organizers anticipate about more than 1,000 attendees. Admission is free for military and their immediate families, $10 for veterans and $15 for general admission. There is no charge for children ages 12 and under.
