Five Star Credit Union of Dothan, AL has gained a reputation of being a true public partner with many events and festivals through the sponsorship of childrens and family activities.
This coming spring at the 8
th annual Tri-State BBQ Festival will be no different. �Five Star Credit Union has agreed to sponsor the Family Fun area, complete with several free activities for the children to enjoy. Among those activities include an inflatable bouncer for the smaller kids, a seventy-five foot long obstacle course for older kids, a thirty foot high tandem slide, an inflatable jousting arena and also one super long water slide for those bringing their swimsuit.
Event organizer Kerry Farrell stated, "We are thrilled to be able to offer so many free activities for families attending the festival. �By Five Star Credit Union sponsoring the fun area, it helps families keep more money in their pocket. They dont have to pay any extra for the kids to play, and everyone enjoys it!"
The Tri-State BBQ Festival has gained a reputation among professional competition barbecue teams as a "must compete" stop on the circuit, as it offers over $11,000 in prize money. Additionally, the grand champion advances to the American Royal Invitational, considered by many to be the "Granddaddy of All BBQ Competitions". Spectators have come to enjoy the event, slated for April 12-13, 2013 in Dothan, because of the great food, free samples and free activities for families. There are also cooking demonstrations, live entertainment and concerts throughout the two-day festival.
Steve Brown, Marketing Director, agrees that by sponsoring community events, it benefits the entire community. "We believe in giving back to the community by providing fun, wholesome activities at events such as this.
