Notre Dame FCU employees delivered delicious shortcake, fresh strawberries, ice cream and whipped topping from inside its brand new "Sweet Treats" bike. All proceeds from the sale of the shortcakes support A Rosie Place O'Hana Heritage Foundation, Bridges Out of Poverty and St. Margaret's House. Notre Dame FCU's "Sweet Treats" bicycle features an attached cooler that can be filled with ice cream, water and more. In celebration of its 75th Anniversary, the area credit union plans to share treats with the South Bend community during upcoming First Friday events downtown and other local events this summer and fall. Notre Dame FCU Director of Market Intelligence Doug Briones said, "We are excited to share Sweet Treats' with the community we've been a part of for 75 years. We plan to use the bike to give back and support the great residents and organizations in the Michiana area."
