Credit Union Awarding $1,000 in Scholarships

Highmark Federal Credit Union of Rapid City, SD is now accepting applications for their 2013 Teen Club Scholarship.� Eligible students will be selected by scholastic achievement, activity/leadership involvement, and an essay relating to credit unions role in their lives today.
To be eligible, applicants must be in their senior year of high school, 19 years or younger, and enrolled in the Teen Club program at Highmark Federal Credit Union. �Scholarship funds can be used at accredited vocational and technical schools, colleges, and universities during the 2013-2014 academic year.
Applications are available online at http://www.highmarkfcu.com/checking-savings/club-accounts.php, or at the main office or branch offices in Rapid City and Custer, and at High School Guidance Offices in Rapid City, EAFB/Box Elder, Sturgis, Spearfish, Lead, Custer and New Underwood. Completed applications must be received by April 5, 2013. Recipients will be announced on April 19, 2012.
Highmark Federal Credit Unions commitment to education began with its inception as Rapid City Teachers Federal Credit Union in 1940. Highmark continues this commitment today through its Teen Club Scholarship program and with its free financial training in area high schools, post-secondary educational institutions, and businesses.
