Workers Credit Union Awards $3,000 in Scholarships

Workers Credit Union's Charitable Giveback Program recently awarded three $1,000 scholarships to students in communities where the credit union has in-school branches.
Vandana Anand of Chelmsford graduated from Chelmsford High School and plans on attending WPI in Worcester. Paul Nelson of Acton graduated from Acton-Boxborough Regional High School and plans on attending University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Jacob Lutter of Lunenburg graduated from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School, Fitchburg, and plans on attending Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston.
"We were truly impressed by the caliber of students who applied and thrilled that we could recognize Vandana, Paul and Jacob's accomplishments through these scholarships," said Doug Petersen, president/CEO of Workers Credit Union, based in Fitchburg, Mass.
