"This church furnishes food for those who need it, preparing 42 hot meals a week," explained Rogers. "They also pack and deliver 50 backpacks to two schools on Friday so these kids will have food on the weekend." According to Rogers, the organizations funds come from their faithful members and a pastor who gives willingly into the program. Rogers stated that the church gives all they have to others in their community. The Pay It Forward program will continue through 2016, and that means any member of Bowater Credit Union can nominate their favorite non-profit for a $1,000 Pay It Forward prize. Four more prizes will be given out in 2016. For more information, visit www.bowaterecu.org and look under the "News & Info" tab.
