St. Anne's Credit Union Sponsors Student Essay Contest

FALL RIVER, MASSACHUSETTS, June 3, 2016&� St. Annes Credit Union is proud to have sponsored one of the winners of the Massachusetts Credit Unions Student Essay Contest for the fifth year in a row!� The contest was open to all Massachusetts seventh and eighth grade students, and asked them to submit an essay describing cooperation and collaboration that they have seen at work in their community.� Over 900 students submitted essays for the contest and only 8 winners were chosen, St. Annes Credit Union is very proud that Christopher Dupuis, an eighth grader at Atlantis Charter School, was one of them!� Christophers essay spoke of his experience volunteering at a food bank and how "cooperation unites people to assist and guide each other to better not only their lives but others as well."� The eight essay contest winners were honored at an awards ceremony held at the State House in Boston on Wednesday, June 1st.� Christopher attended along with his mother and father, Cathy and Michael Dupuis, the Executive Director of Atlantis Charter School, Robert Beatty, the Associate Executive Director of Atlantis Charter School, Michael Lauro, and two representatives from St. Annes Credit Union, Marketing Director Kelly Baldwin and Marketing Assistant Kayleigh Holt.� The winner and their parties were given a tour of the State House, and enjoyed a luncheon with speakers such as the Honorable David J. Cotney, the Massachusetts Commissioner of Banks.� St. Annes Credit Union is very happy to commend Christopher for all of his hard work and congratulate him on all of his success.
