(Fitchburg, MA) IC Federal Credit Unions employee-led "Jeans for Charity" program recently raised $1,047 for the United Way Sandy Hook Support Fund. "Jeans for Charity is rounding its third year," stated Jane Flannagan, SVP of Human Resources, "and our employees designate a monthly charity, and the Sandy Hook family support fund through United Way was a unanimous decision." "December is typically designated for Toys for Tots, and hundreds of toys poured into all branch locations from our generous Members and employees," said Anthony Cali, President & CEO, "and so we felt that the program money paid for wearing jeans on Fridays and Saturdays should go directly to support of these families." "No one should ever have to endure such a tragedy, and our hearts and prayers go out to them all." ICs Jeans for Charity program has donated over $26,000 since inception, to charities and organizations throughout the local area.
