Kimoh

Since last November, Kimoh (a Labrador retriever mix) has called the League City Shelter home but today he has a new home!

The management team of AMOCO Federal Credit Union adopted Kimoh as a retirement gift for Larry Wilson, Chief Financial Officer. "Larry is retiring to the Hill Country and mentioned he wanted to adopt a dog so we couldn't think of a better gift for him to commemorate his loyalty to the credit union," said Shawn Bailey, CEO.

The AMOCO team took Larry on a surprise visit to the League City Shelter where Kim Schoolcraft, Animal Services Manager and Stefny Gritta, Animal Control Officer helped Larry select his new best friend. "Kimoh was a stray and had come to the shelter after being found running the streets. No one ever claimed Kimoh, and although the shelter staff and volunteers walked and played with him, what he needed was a real family," said Kim Schoolcraft . Upon hearing about the unique gift, April Deem with the Pet Palace agreed to pick Kimoh up from the shelter in a limousine and take him for some much needed exercise and pampering over the weekend as Larry completed the final details of his move. So with a new hairdo, new name (Larry renamed him Duke after the legendary John Wayne), and a new home, Duke is truly a rags to riches story.
