ABNB Federal Credit Union Awards Scholarships

CaptureCHESAPEAKE, VA (May 20, 2016) ABNB Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that two of its members, Daniel G. Williams and Jeremiah V. Estanislao, were chosen as recipients of the 2016 Jack E. OConnor Memorial Scholarship offered by the Tidewater Chapter of Credit Unions. Williams attends the Health and Sciences Academy at Bayside High School in Virginia Beach, VA, and plans to pursue a doctorate in psychology so he can help treat people with PTSD at the University of Richmond.� �Daniel is the Vice President of the Medical Honor Society, Treasurer for Operation Smile Club, a member of the National Honor Society and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.� He has volunteered with Special Olympics, Operation Smile and is a student athletic trainer at Bayside. Estanislao attends Salem High School in Virginia Beach, VA, and is headed to the University of Mary Washington (UMW) to pursue a major in business marketing.� Jeremiah plans to enlist in the Naval Reserve while at UMW, and go on to a career in the military.� Jeremiah is an active member of the International Thespian society, Salem High Schools Drama Club and the Beach FC Soccer Club.� He is also very active in his church, volunteers at the Virginia Beach SPCA, Judeo-Christian Outreach Center and AAU Junior Olympics. The Jack E. OConnor Memorial Scholarship is offered by the Tidewater Chapter of Credit Unions to qualified graduating seniors who plan to attend a college or university.� Several scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors that are members of credit unions in the Tidewater area.
