Glendora, CA, May 17, 2016 Americas Christian Credit Union (ACCU) is gearing up for its third annual Patriot Week commemoration, May 23-27 in partnership with Project Glendora Yellow Ribbon and Project Chaos. This tradition began with the purpose of inspiring the community in celebrating, honoring and supporting the U.S. military, veterans and first-responders.
This year, the celebration continues with planned events including an Opening Ceremony on Tuesday May 24
th, a presentation of homemade treats and baked goods to local first responders on Wednesday May 25
th, and a Family Day & Awards Ceremony to wrap up the week on Thursday, May 26
th. ACCU welcomes and invites veterans, first responders, and other community heroes to come out and be recognized for their service and sacrifice.
In previous years, the Credit Union has been able to raise much needed funds during Patriot Week for various charities that support our heroes. "We look forward to another great week during which we can express our gratitude as a community to those that have sacrificed so much for our freedom," said President/CEO, Mendell L. Thompson.
