HousewarmingLOWELL As a way to express member appreciation, the Jeanne DArc Credit Union Mortgage Team held a housewarming party on May 5, 2016 at the home of their new members, Rachel and Joseph Salamone. The couple opened up their new home in Bedford, MA to celebrate with 50 of their friends, family and co-workers, their realtor and a few members of Jeanne DArcs Mortgage Team. Sponsored by the Credit Union, the Cinco De Mayo themed party featured festive food and snacks from Margaritas in Lexington. "We still cannot believe what an amazing and generous gift it was," said Rachel. "Even our friends and family were blown away by the fact that Jeanne DArc sponsored our housewarming party. It was incredible." The couple was looking to relocate from Southern New Hampshire to be closer to work. Rachel is the Vice President of Human Resources for a high tech company in North Billerica, MA. Joseph is a Physicians Assistant at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. They decided Bedford was the perfect town for them and got started on their home buying journey. They didnt anticipate any issues securing a mortgage, but their primary bank required strict qualifying parameters that the Salamones could not meet, especially when they had to also sell the home they were living in at the time. They were introduced to Bo Stevens, Senior Loan Officer at Jeanne DArc Credit Union, who was able to get them approved for a mortgage and ultimately in the door to the home of their dreams. "The Salamones are awesome," said Stevens. They were great to work with on the initial loan and even better when it came to planning and pulling together the party." "We had some pretty challenging days when it seemed that everything was going to fall apart. The absolute best part of our experience was working with Jeanne DArc and Bo," said Rachel. "Bo took all of the stress out of it. He and his team were super responsive, informative, and stayed on top of anything that could have resulted in a delay or hassle for us," she added. The housewarming party allowed Rachel and Joseph to officially welcome their loved ones to their new home. They can now relax with their 10-year-old twin daughters and enjoy their much shorter commutes.
