Representatives from Scott Credit Union and the St. Louis Cardinals announced the local credit union will sponsor St. Louis MLB franchise for the next three years. "We are extremely proud to be a partner with such a historic and successful organization," said SCU President & CEO Frank Padak. "It is exciting for us to have our organization and the Scott Credit Union brand tied to the long-running tradition of success of the St. Louis Cardinals." Scott Credit Unions agreement with the Cardinals includes naming rights to the MVP Deck in left center field at Busch Stadium. It also includes scoreboard advertisements, sponsorship of the Cardinals promotional giveaway night on August 26, player appearances, as well as partnership with Team Fredbird at community events. "The naming rights to the MVP Deck is big for us," said SCU Chief Marketing Officer Adam Koishor. "There are 28 all-inclusive seats in the covered deck area. It has been really great watching the Scott Credit Union lighted signs go up in the stadium." The credit union will also be the title sponsor of the St. Louis Cardinals Player Ticket Program, which provides tickets to children from area youth organizations. The guests will be provided with tickets to the game and receive t-shirts, food vouchers and the opportunity to meet with a player prior to the game. "Its commitment to their members and the St. Louis area makes SCU an ideal partner for our organization. Furthermore, the MVP Deck is an exciting and unique area of our stadium for fans to take in a game and we couldnt be more pleased to partner with Scott Credit Union to carry on that excitement." The credit union is also planning a ticket promotion later in the season during which its members will have a chance to get tickets to a Cardinal game. Scott Credit Unions field of membership includes St. Louis County, so people who live or work there can now open accounts at the credit union. "With St. Louis County being part of our field of membership, we are confident that this partnership with the Cardinals will help us continue to grow," Padak added. "This partnership really increases our visibility in our efforts to educate people throughout the area about the great value they get when they choose to do business with us." As a not-for-profit cooperative, Scott Credit Union returns its profits to members in dividends while helping them avoid fees and get better rates. The credit union also uses its earnings to provide expanded services and convenient branches and ATMs to its members. At the end of 2015, Scott Credit Union issued a bonus dividend and a loan interest rebate for the year exceeding $1.3 million. That money was directly deposited into Scott Credit Union members accounts. Scott Credit Union has made giving back to its communities a major priority. The local credit union contributed about $370,000 and its employees volunteered more than 2,400 hours to a variety of local civic efforts throughout the region in 2015.
