Credit Union fundraising event will provide support for underprivileged school children

SONY DSCIndiana Members Credit Union (IMCU), Central Indianas largest credit union, hosted their 4th annual fundraising event, "Funky Town, Like A Radical 80s Party", to benefit the Indiana Members Foundation, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, on Saturday, January 12, 2013.� Over 200 people attended the sold out event which raised over $23,000 for the Indiana Members Foundation.� The goal of the foundation is to provide underprivileged school children in the Indianapolis area with the necessities essential for learning and succeeding in their education. Highlights of the evening included hors doeuvres, a silent auction, a casino area, DJ and dance floor, and an opportunity to take candid photos in the 80s photo booth.� Primary event sponsors for the evening included the Indianapolis Indians as the Photo Booth Sponsor, Ivan Eckhaus Insurance Agency as the Casino Sponsor, Symitar as the Dance Club Sponsor, Indiana Title and Closing Services, LLC as the Arcade Room Sponsor, and Indiana Members Credit Union as the Stage Sponsor. Mandy Emery, AVP Community Relations for IMCU stated, "The Funky Town event was a huge success.� I am grateful for all of the support received from our sponsors, employees and members for this event.� I just want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for their generosity.� Children in Central Indiana will see a direct benefit from the donations weve received and because of this support we are well on our way to providing 4,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to local students."
