We Promise Foundation Continues to Make Dreams Come True in 2016

CaptureVirginia Beach, VA (May 9, 2016) Chartway Federal Credit Unions charitable arm, the We Promise Foundation whose mission is to put smiles on childrens face by making their dreams come true, is proud to announce its 2016 2017 board of directors.

Since 1999, Chartway and its We Promise Foundation have raised more than $8,000,000 to make dreams come true for children battling life-threatening, debilitating, or chronic illnesses. This election follows a successful fundraising year for the credit unions charitable arm. Last year, the We Promise Foundation raised more than $945,000 thanks to the generous support of its employees, sponsors, and supporters. In 2016, the Foundation looks forward to complementing its internal fundraisers with several external events:
  • 1st Annual Putting for Promises Golf Tournament in Lehi, UT: May 24, 2016
  • 11th Annual Diamonds in the Sky Gala: September 14, 2016
  • 18th Annual Charity Golf Classic: September 15, 2016
The foundation was also selected as the charitable beneficiary of the 12th Annual Virginia Beach Tuna Tournament being held June 22 25, 2016.
