CaptureMontana - Recently, Homestead FCU rolled out the Cy Ehresman Memorial Fund -- a small, but wonderful way to give back to the community. The Ehresmans are long-time members of the credit union, and after Cy died, his son donated a small amount to the credit union because "his dad really appreciated the credit union." In true "People Helping People" fashion, the Homestead staff and board decided the money should seed a donation account that will be used to help a person in need each month. In April they helped a new member who had been struggling and faced having his utilities disconnected to pay off his electric bill. The credit union plans to contribute regularly and hopes to make the fund "a forever thing that helps people in the community all year round."
