BHFCU Club for Boys Free Throw ChallengeRapid City, SD - Scoring 86 of 125 free throws, Black Hills Federal Credit Union employees took second among financial institutions during the Club for Boys Corporate Free Throw Challenge this March. BHFCU raised $200 for the organization through the challenge, which helps the non-profit provide educational and recreational activities for boys in Rapid City. "The Club provides a positive, safe and fun environment for boys to grow and learn, and is an important part of Rapid Citys identity" said Mitchell Loken, chair of the Community Action Team Project. "It was great to see so many area businesses come together for a little competitive fun to support these kids and such a great organization." Employees also raised over $400 for the Childrens Home Society, which provides support for abused children, and collected dozens of new and used books for the Readiatrics book drive to benefit the South Dakota Department of Health this month. BHFCUs employee-led Community Action Team provides support for community projects, charities and events throughout the year through various fundraising and volunteer efforts.
