St. Anne's Credit Union Spreads Financial Literacy to Sixth Graders

Fin Lit St Phils 6th 2016FALL RIVER, MASSACHUSETTS, April 11, 2016&� On Friday, April 8th St. Annes Credit Unions Kelly Baldwin (Marketing & CRA Officer) and Kayleigh Holt (Marketing Assistant) brought the Credit Unions financial literacy program to the sixth grade students at St. Philomena School in Portsmouth, RI.� The two Credit Union employees spoke with the students about smart ways to spend, save and donate, and explained the basics of budgeting and creating savings goals.� The sixth graders had a lot of great ideas about how to save money and responsible money spending habits that they could employ.� Each student was given a Savings Goal sheet to fill out with something they personally were saving for.� Once they turned in their Savings Goal each student received a Penny the Pig savings bank to help them jump start their savings!
