(Somerville, MA) Naveo Credit Unions Scholarship Committee awarded four scholarships of $1,000 each to local students during their Annual Meeting on March 31. Scholarship recipients for the 2016-2017 school year were Lauren Buccelli of Stoneham, Samantha Forestier of Malden, Katrina Raschi of Medford and Victoria Raschi of Medford. Scholarship recipients are anonymously selected based on financial need, scholastic merit as well as community and school involvement.
"At Naveo Credit Union, we believe in the future academic success of our young members.� In order to assist with the rising costs of education, Naveo has been proudly supporting our young members through The Carlos Faria and Victor Da Silva Memorial Scholarship program for the last 30 years. We continue to be impressed by the academic dedication, community involvement and individual goals of our scholarship applicants. Named after former board members for their dedication to education, the Carlos Faria and Victor Da Silva Memorial Scholarship Fund has been a part of the Credit Union since the 1980s.
