First Community Credit Union Raises $4,500 for Veterans

FCCU Vets DonationJamestown, ND - First Community Credit Union (FCCU) recently held a�fundraiser for North Dakota�veterans. All 15 branches collectively raised $4,500 for the Support Our Veterans fund, which was established to provide resources for North Dakota veterans and their eligible dependents emergency needs. FCCU employees held an internal silent auction that raised $1,400 in addition to casual Friday fundraisers that raised $1,900, and $500 for Valentines Day deliveries.�Additional funds were raised from chili cook-offs and other means. In commemoration of Salute to Veterans Week in February, employees delivered goodies to veterans and active military personnel. Deliveries included:
  • 75 goodies for the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Fargo
  • 130 chocolate bars to residents living at the Veterans Affairs Home in Lisbon
  • Veterans throughout Bismarck, Napoleon, and Steele
  • Treats for the National Guard Maintenance Shop in Jamestown
Each quarter FCCUs 150 employees choose an organization to raise money and awareness for. North Dakota veterans were chosen as the first quarter charity. First Community Credit Union would like to take the opportunity to thank all of the men and women who have served our country over the years. FCCU currently has five employees that have served in the military.
