Heritage Federal Credit Union Supports Financial Literacy for Kids and Teens

NEWBURGH, IN (April 1, 2016) April is National Credit Union Youth Month at Heritage Federal Credit Union.� All month long the credit union is celebrating youth and promoting financial literacy to kids and teens by encouraging them to set up savings accounts and learn how to manage money. This years theme for Youth Month, "Credit Union Strong: Pump Up Your Savings!" shows youth how Heritage Federal Credit Union can help them meet financial goals.� In celebration of Youth Month, the credit union is having a National Youth Savings Challenge sponsored by CUNA (Credit Union National Association) where every deposit made into any childs account (ages 18 and under) will create an entry into a drawing for a FitBit. In addition, to help celebrate Youth Month, youth members can pick up Credit Union Strong: Pump Up Your Savings! worksheets at any Heritage Federal Credit Union branch or by visiting www.hfcu.info.� Upon completion of a worksheet, youth members can bring their completed worksheets to any Heritage Federal Credit Union branch and receive an instant prize plus a stamp on their very own activity guide!� On top of receiving instant prizes for each completed worksheet, when a youth member completes their activity guide by receiving all three stamps, they will be entered to win one of the following grand prizes:
  • One-Year Family Membership to Mesker Park Zoo
  • One-Year Family Membership to cMOE
  • 3 Ball Sport Set & Family Day Passes to Mesker Park Zoo
Youth members can also visit Kirby at the Heritage Federal Credit Union Home Show booth in the ONB Events Plaza on April 9th & 10th to pick up Pump Up Your Savings! worksheets.
