Hanscom AFB, Mass. (March 31, 2016)A home cooked meal is nourishing to body, mind, and soul. Thats the theory behind Hanscom FCUs commitment to donate and prepare dinner for guests during regular visits to Fisher House Boston. Fisher House is an international organization that provides housing for family members caring for veterans hospitalized at a VA facility. Fisher House Boston is located at the West Roxbury Veteran Affairs Medical Center, where Hanscom FCU has a branch. "Fisher House guests spend their days caring for a hospitalized loved one. Thats stressful," said Paul Marotta, Chairman of the Board for Hanscom FCU and frequent volunteer. "This is a way to show families that they are cared for, too." Photo: Hanscom FCU staff and volunteers Mike Rzeszutek, Paula Seremetis, Alan Hart, Karen Morey, and Fred Ryan prepared dinner for guests at Fisher House Boston recently.
