Alaska USA Foundation Donates $10,000 to Stand Down, Inc.

StandDownCheckPresentationAnchorage, Alaska �The Alaska USA Foundation has donated $10,000 to Stand Down, Inc., to support the 2016�Stand Down for Veterans in Need�event. The event provides an opportunity for in-need and homeless veterans to access vital services that would otherwise not be readily available to them. The services provided to veterans include health and dental exams, mental health and substance abuse resources, legal assistance, housing assistance and many other important service programs. "Its important that we do everything we can to help the brave men and women who served our country," said Jeff Arnold, Chair of�Stand Down. "Over 200 men and women in need attend this event, and Alaska USA Foundations donation will help with our goal of ending the cycle of homelessness for veterans in Alaska." The Alaska USA Foundation donation will help to increase program participation by service providers, which will increase access to a multitude of service organizations within the community. It will allow Stand Down the opportunity to provide services to more than 200 in- need veterans in 2016.
