St. Anne's Credit Union Supports Financial Literacy at Local High School
March 14, 2016
FALL RIVER, MASSACHUSETTS, - St. Annes Credit Union was happy to once again participate in New Bedford High Schools Credit for Life Fair on Thursday, March 10th. Credit for Life Fairs give local high school students the opportunity to learn the basics of budgeting through an interactive exercise. Each student is assigned an income and credit score and they then have to put together a monthly budget by visiting different booths at the fair that pertain to various aspects of life, such as housing, transportation, groceries, and insurance. St. Annes employees are happy to act as "credit counselors" during these fairs and are available to look over and discuss the students budgeting decisions and provide them with guidance regarding their choices. Employees from the Credit Union participate in multiple Credit for Life Fairs throughout the school year, and are looking forward to being "credit counselors" for both Durfee and Dartmouth High Schools Fairs in April.
