PenFed Credit Union Donates $75,000 to Local YMCA

CaptureSpringfield, Va. PenFed Credit Union donated $75,000 to the Armed Services YMCA today supporting efforts to make military life better. PenFeds donation will be used to support junior enlisted members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard, and their families. These young mem and women carry the weight of the Nations defense on their shoulders and can be challenged with a unique military lifestyle. PenFeds partnership with the Armed Services YMCA will continue to provide programs and services tailored these dedicated defenders of our way of life. James Schenck, president and CEO of PenFed said, "Our partnership with the ASYMCA reflects the DNA of PenFed Credit Union. Serving our nations defenders and those who support them is who we are as an organization." "Im also excited about working with the ASYMCA to connect service members and families in need with the PenFed Foundation, our charitable arm," said Schenck. Retired Navy Vice Adm. and ASYMCA President and CEO Bill French accepted the donation from PenFed and expressed excitement about the continued partnership with the credit union. "I am very happy to receive this support from PenFed," said French. "They are great partners and we hope they will continue to support our military men and women, and their families, for years to come."
